This is the first artwork I ever painted. I took inspiration from Renato Guttuso, a protagonist of Italian neorealist painting. I had never heard of him before. I remember attending design school one day and my professor gave us an assignment. He introduced some artists and showed us some of their paintings to try to replicate. Amongst them there was Renato Guttuso and I just fell in love with his work, especially the image before me. I knew at that point I wanted this image to be my first painting. So here we are. This is the result ! I was so proud of myself. I had never imagined that I was able to paint , especially like this. I hadn’t been taught to paint. It was my introduction to painting. It was like an experiment. Something totally new to test myself. I was copying an artwork of course, not a common artwork but Renato Guttuso artwork. I really like acrylics on canvas. I enjoy mixing colours and trying to make the right shades. As a first painting it wasn't really easy, but at the end this is still my favourite painting!
So now I know that really nothing is impossible when you love arts . You can try everything , because you never know what can happen. You could probably discover a lot of things about yourself, about your potential and about your skills. Like I did! It is important to be happy and really proud of yourself!

Beautiful work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
