''Fantasia'' is my polystyrene painting. This sounds a bit weird , I know. During the quarantine I didn't have any canvas to paint , the only thing that I had was a polystyrene piece . So I decided to try something new and paint again with my acrylics after long time. This is the final result. As you can see my flowers and the butterflies are blue. Most of the time you will find this colour is on my drawings or paintings . The blue flowers are so rare , is not really common to look around and see them. So for me they represent something special and precious. Instead the blue butterflies represent freedom. The butterfly is my picture's blog symbol. The blue butterfly represent how I feel and the desire, inside of me , to do , to go and explore the world.
The blue colour convey calm. and balance even in this paint. Between all of those colours , looking at it convey a different feeling. The others colours , really bright, frame the flowers and the butterflies. An explosion of shiny colours found a perfect balance in the calm. This balance represent how I felt while I was painting. A mixture of emotions transmitted through, brush strokes , point of light and shadows , tweaks and fantasy made my ''Fantasia'' .
I decided to give this name because most of the time I like coping paintings already made by someone else. This time was different. Maybe for the first time I created something mine , a bit abstract and colourful, that represents me, my feelings and what I had on my mind. Fantasy is really important for an artist. That's not really easy to find but not even impossible. For me it is a way to express the deepest part of ourselves.
